Hi, we normally spend our days rescuing and caring for wildlife. We feel extremely privileged to be able to do that, but every now and then we feel that we need a break.
We are not getting any younger and we would like to travel to Europe this year to see family and friends, so we are looking for house sitters in Dayboro area (north of Brisbane on the ranges). Our house is at the end of a 500 m driveway on rural 5 acres with a beautiful view from our deck and balcony.
But the most important animals in our lives are our two old rescue horses and a tortoise shell princess. Tina is a beautiful arab girl of 35 (yes!) and King is a thoroughbred boy of only 23. Snuffie is our lovely tea cosy, who recently lost her mate of 13 years. All she thinks about are cuddles and food!
We need you to attend to their needs, which include a weekly poo-patrol, but you will have more than enough time to relax - have a holiday! Lots of wildlife around (wallabies, koalas, possums, birds and black cockatoos), but the kids are number 1 priority.
It would be great if you can come a few days before we leave, so you can get to know everyone and their daily routine. You will have your own rooms, bathroom and toilet, so you can get settled.
Thank you for taking the time to read our profile and we love to hear from you.
Kind regards, wildlifecarer
