Hello, My husband and I area going on vacation Sept 4-Sept 13, and are in need of a house sitter. We are looking for a mature individual or couple with experience and references. We live in the Mid City area of New Orleans, one block from City Park. This is a very safe area and the streetcar stop, many restaurants, grocers and NO Museum of Art are all within walking distance. We live in a nicely restored 3/3 single shotgun style home. The house has central A/C and wi-fi. Quiet street with great neighbors. Street parking is available. It's about 3.5 miles from the house to the Garden District and French Quarter, all accessible by street car. We are parents to 1 indoor cat and a 35 pound poi dog, the Hawaiian term for a mixed breed. He is in fact a chihuahua/terrier mix. All pets are healthy and require no meds. Dog needs daily walks and lots of attention. Cat is rather independent, though she may try to be friendly at 3 in the morning. We have also been adopted by a semi feral cat. She lives on the front porch. She is 24 years old and gets fed dry kibbles a few times a day. Light plant watering will be needed. Thanks for your consideration.
