We are looking for a non-smoking couple or single person to housesit our home in the Braidwood region.
As you would be required to care for our 3 year old labrador, you need to be comfortable with larger dogs and able to walk him twice a day. He is very friendly. In addition we would like our pot plants watered and chickens will need to be fed twice a day (very good layers so that is a bonus).
Our home is located on 23 acres (no stock) and is a three bedroom, solar passive, rammed earth building with a slow combustion wood heater (wood supplied). There is Telstra mobile coverage (other suppliers are a bit patchy). We have a stand alone solar system that provides good power supply (washing machine, dishwasher) but does need to be watched. We have many house sitters in the past and they have not had any trouble with the system.
Braidwood is the first town to be heritage listed in NSW. The community is vibrant and diversified. The town has many cafes and interesting shops. Canberra is within driving distance hours) and offers all the attractions of a major city. The south coast of NSW is an hour's drive away with its many national parks and beautiful beaches.
