Hello, we are looking for a house sitter from approximately middle of May(perhaps a little latter) 2013 till fall or until our house sells.

We are flexible on dates as we are planning to move to our new home and we are putting this one up for sale. There will be no animals to take care of, we just require someone to tend to the garden and cut the lawn and generally keep the house in a tidy condition. The house will be on the sales market and must be available for viewing usually at least 24 hrs prior notice is given.

We are looking for a couple or single person who is/ are flexible who are willing to vacate the house when the house sells should the new owners not require house sitting.

We live on Denman Island, British Columbia, on a small rural acreage with with panoramic ocean and mountain views. Applicant(s)must be; mature,reliable, healthy,trustworthy have references, non-smoker, no drugs, minimal drinking, and no-partying. Our home will be almost void of furnishing, it will have a queen sized bed, small table, chairs and and a large screen tv dvd player and high speed internet. It also has air conditioning and a 16ft by 32 ft vegetable garden which is empty and ready for planting if you should desire to grow your own vegtables. It has a wood stove for heat not needed in the summer and electric heat backup. It is a 20 minute walk to town (down town Denman has a general store, post office, restaurant, hardware store, book store, health clinic, beach, and ferry. We live on a gulf island, Denman Island, British Columbia, Canada. The ferry is a 10 minute crossing and runs every hour from 6am to 11pm. Denman Island is 15 minute car ride to Courtenay, or 45 minutes to Nanaimo.

It is an ideal place for outdoor sports, fishing, kayaking,canoeing, hiking, skiing (45 min to Mt Washington), etc..
