My husband and I are a health, heart & earth conscious couple who need to spend a 6 weeks away from home for work from February 6th - March .
Our home is a heavily timbered, low maintenance acreage in Blackbutt. It is a little town (very little) on the top of a mountain range. It's a bit of a geographical anomaly because it's a 2 hour drive from everywhere. 2hrs to Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast, Toowoomba, the Gold Coast :)
The house itself was built and furnished in It's 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom, but we'll be shutting off our two home offices while we're away making it 2 & 2.
The nearest supermarket is a 15 minute drive away. There is a bigger one another 10 minutes up the road. The nearest shopping centre is 45 minutes away. There really isn't much to Blackbutt, which is why we love it, but it's not for everyone.
If you're looking for convenience or night-life Blackbutt is not the place for you. If you're looking for country serenity, wildlife & fresh air, then we've got that in spades.
We have high speed ADSL, cable TV, aircon and an oven that is no stranger to the creation of cupcakes :)
We have an indoor cat, Nina. She is strictly an indoor cat which means she has to be kept inside the entire time we're away. There are way too many furry things to eat and be eaten by if you're a cat in Blackbutt.
My parents are also just up the road and will also be available if you have any questions or need any help.
