I will be going to a memorial in So-Cal for for about a week and need somone to stay with my Kitty, Chimi, and small dog Tashi. Chimi's very sweet but a bit skittish, Tashi is her best friend and a true lap dog. There is a friend, senior male, living in a RV on the property but he keeps to himself and only comes in to use the shower about once a week as he has friends nearby. He's very considerate and takes care of the yard, etc..
Lake Counnty is still beautiful. Mt. Knoncti, the Lake, the east shore and Lakeport are all as lovely as ever! Damage from recent fires is not conspicuous, except in the area behind Middlet for about own and Cobb mtn, in the south end of the lake..
I have a home hours north of the Bay Area, 1.4 hours from Santa Rosa. Lake County is above Napa Co. and inland from Sonoma Co. Clearlake is the largest lake this side of the Rockies and one of oldest in the U.S. My Puganese dog Tashi, 6 yo . The kitty is a Main Coon and more dog like, wrestles with the dog and they're will go with me. The kitty, Chimi, is indoor-outdoor with a cat door. I have a large yard and garden that might need watering. There's also 2 chickens that need food and water daily.
I am a retired Psych Social Worker, Baby Boomer, Buddhist meditator with a colorful decorative style (guess I'm still a bit of a hippy.) I have a 2 bedroom house on a double lot in a mixed neighborhood, retirees from the Bay Area, and people on welfare/disability as not much in the job dept. It is a safe neighborhood with a racial, socio-economic mix of folks. Lake County has the cleanest air in California and is a lovely place with views of the Lake and Mt Konocti, an inactive volcano and a range of flora/fauna. I have a kayak you can use. Cable TV and Wi-fi are available.
Harbin Hot Springs is not open yet, pools will be open soon, but Orr Hot Springs, Vichy Hot Springs and Wilbur Hot Springs are in the general area. Blue Lakes is also beautiful and great for swimming in good weather...about an hour away.
There is an option to stay longer, in exchange for work on the yard, house etc. I have a room adjacent to the garage I'm turning into a rentable room..and/.or work exchange and a Toyota Dolphin RV for temporary. I have an extra driveway for an RV if you're traveling.
