We're looking for a pet and house sitter for two weeks from about Oct. 16 (we're still arranging our travel time). We have four dogs (a Golden Retriever who is years old, two Labradors that are about 10 years old and a 3-year-old Husky), a cat, three horses, a donkey, three turtles, two parrotlets, five chickens and a tank of fish. But it's easier than it sounds: the dogs don't require walking, the horses and donkey will only need their water trough refilled a couple of times and you will just need to give food to the rest of them every few days. And you're welcome to use all the wonderful fresh eggs can can collect!
We live in a big 200-year-old French farmhouse nestled in the Jura Mountains in a village of five houses. It's quiet, safe and very pretty here. We're a 25-minute train ride from Geneva (the train station is about 12 minutes from our home) or you can drive into central Geneva in about 45 minutes. We're just over an hour's drive into Lyon. The house has five bedrooms, a fireplace (plenty of wood on hand if needed), lovely beams and solid-wood floors as well as some modern amenities: a small but well-equipped kitchen and an inside jacuzzi that you're welcome to use.
We're looking for people who are honest and responsible and lovers of animals. No smoking permitted in the house. Children are welcome, but we would, of course, expect parents to control them. :)
