We are a retired couple looking for a mature house-sitter (single or couple) for about 7 months. Our home is very conveniently located in a quiet, well-established suburb in a good area of Canberra. We have no pets but are looking for someone able to maintain the gardens - although they should be comparatively low maintenance during the colder months. Our home is recently renovated and is spacious with new carpets and bathrooms and is easy to keep clean. It is well insulated and has gas heating in the living area and oil-filled radiators in the bedrooms. We have excellent access to transport with bus stops being very close and are about 10 minutes walk from the local shops. We are also across the road from a park which leads to great walking tracks. We would expect the house-sitter to pay for utilities while in the house.
