We are seeking a house and ranch sitter for one week from May 27 - June 3, 2014 while we are on a family vacation. We live hours south of Albuquerque on a small ranch which is located 10 miles south from Hwy 60 on a dirt road. We drive the road daily but it can be tricky when it rains, which is not very often. We will leave a 4-wheel drive pick up available in case of emergency. We have three horses which are fed twice daily in their own stalls in a barn. All feed is right there in the barn for easy access. We also have three dogs who live in the courtyard and kennel area attached to the house. In summer they live outside in this area, except for Cowboy (the Aussie) who comes in at night. They need to be walked daily with two on a leash while the other runs along free. We can't let them all run at the same time or they will run off, which is dangerous due to predators (coyotes mostly). Also, we have cows that need their drinker filled daily from a valve at the tank, which is a nice walk for the dogs to the end of our driveway. We will put enough feed out for the cows for the week, so feeding them will not be an issue. Last but not lease, we have three courtyard/garage/barn cats who roam freely between the three places, but they do have a common feeder which needs to be checked. They have beds in the garage that they report to most evenings. In addition, we need courtyard pots and flower beds watered. This is a rural, peaceful, and beautiful location. Prefer non-smoker to stay on the property all of the time. We are willing to stock the fridge with groceries, etc. Just stay, enjoy and take care of the things we love.
