Hello house carers! I'm Maura and I'm looking for someone to house sit and care for my 3 indoor/outdoor cats for February and March 2017. Also, I have my spare bedroom rented on so there would be some logistics of greeting the guests when they arrive and just orienting them to the apartment.
I have a large, comfortable 2 bedroom apartment within a 5 minute walk to the beach as well as to downtown Zihuatanejo. It's a great location that allows you to explore the different local beaches, all accessible within a short walk or bus ride.
The apartment is on the second floor, is fully furnished and has WiFi. House/pet sitters would have use of the guest bedroom which is furnished with dresser, open closet and full size bed. There's an overhead fan and A/C and typically the room stays very cool.
Zihuatanejo is a great little beachside fishing village (now a full fledged town) with lots of restaurants, shops, cafes and an organic farmers market in the downtown area. There are several different beaches within the bay of Zihua, all of which are within a short walk from the apartment. There's also plenty of public transit in the form of VW combi vans that pick up just a block from where you'll be staying.
The area is very secure and mostly Mexican families live within the complex with a couple of Americans that have recently moved in.
My home is also home to my three lovely cats, who are very easy to care for. All cats are indoor/outdoor, though they do use a cat litter box.
My big request from the house sitters (besides taking good care of the cats) is that they maintain the house clean. I typically sweep daily, as well as clean the litter. I will leave the house very clean for you and my hope is to return to a clean home.
I would like to ask the house sitter to cover the utilies (electricity, water + internet) for the time they are house/pet sitting. It is not expensive for the utilities and it would be greatly appreciated.
Also, it would be ideal for a house sitter who speaks at least basic Spanish so that if anything arises during your stay you are able to properly communicate and facilitate a resolution.
