My husband and I run a photography studio out of our home in Vieques, Puerto Rico. We also manage 2 's. We are looking at a very very busy season coming up and we are looking for some extra help.
I am looking for a mature and responsible person, or couple to help out with housekeeping. We have 2 's that we run, I will want our housekeeper to help with cleaning, check ins and simple management. I will also want the housekeeper to come into our home and manage laundry, dishes and general cleaning.
It would be amazing if I could find a person or couple who is really good with Handyman tasks. Everything around here always needs fixing and it can be hard to find a reliable handyman on this island.
I expect these duties to take up 20 hours a week/ 80 hours a month. Any labor that goes over 80 hours a month will be paid at $10 a hour. In exchange we provide accommodation in a cute little casita over looking the Caribbean ocean.
This will be a ongoing assignment. I don;t mind people coming down for 2-3 months at a time.
Clean properties between check in's. Assist with check - ins. Laundry for 's. Be polite and engaging with our guests.
Housekeeping in our home will consist of laundry, dishes, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, straightening, garbage and recycling duty, watering and sweeping the patio, and many other random projects that could come up
I will also want a housekeeper to be available for house sitting when we go out of town. I don't expect this to be paid on a hourly basis. Just live here in the house with our pets if we happen to travel.
When we work long weddings I will want the housekeeper to come in and check on pets, let the dogs out ect.
I expect our house keeper to kind of join the family. We're almost always home working, we'll be around. The house keeper will work very closely with me. Im basically looking for a extra set of hands to make sure everything gets managed properly around here. When we're in the middle of high season with checkins every 3 days and 4 weddings a week it can get crazy and overwhelming and I would like someone around to ease the stress.
The schedule will usually be set a week ahead of time, but it's important to understand that there could be last minute reservations so I hope any candidate can be flexible
We have a beautiful Villa in a safe neighborhood of Vieques, Puerto Rico. The casita is right up the street, about a 1/4 mile. Both houses are minutes away from beautiful beaches. You don't need a passport!
No a/c, although plenty of fans. We don't have a car for our house sitter. We can arrange rides to our big villa when it needs to be cleaned. It would be best if our candidate looked into purchasing a island car ( usually around $ or a scooter ($300ish).
Our house sitter needs to have their own income and money. Someone who is retired, or works remotely. We provide housing, which includes electric and water, but we won;t be covering other expenses
