We own a small (2B/R) B&B (on acreage in the forest - VERY private at the end of a cul-de-sac) and will be away at the following dates in 2018:-
April 11th to June 2019
These dates are very flexible and we are also open to other dates to suit the Sitter. Ideally we would like someone in WA as we like to go away 2 or 3 times a year and it'd be easier to have someone return that knows the routine.
Require Police Clearance and references please.
We mainly only have 2 guest rooms and mainly only get bookings on the w/e. We need a COUPLE with computer knowledge (for the booking system) and who has done this type of thing before or who has a background in hospitality. Anyone who has experience with OTA (Online Travel Agents eg Wotif) bookings and managing same using Siteminder/Little Hotelier would be amazing but this is pretty much automatic updating etc. and I can manage bookings from overseas and message you any new ones.
Also computer savvy and able to process payments thru our EFTPOS machine. Ideally this would suit a couple (preferably) as we have found it easier to run and we only have 1 spare King bed -
no children please and no dogs.
Would have the use of the owners side of the house (1 guest King b/r, huge kitchen/dining/living). Must be a good cook (although if you really dont want to cook we can amend the bookings to be a Room Only rate if necessary) and have an eye for detail in cleaning.
Duties are: check computer for in-coming bookings. Order in extra linen as necessary by (you are not required to wash sheets - just towels). Cook and serve breakfast and clean up after; tidy/refresh guest rooms daily (not required to make beds daily) when guests in-house; clean and re-set guest rooms when guests leave in readiness for next lot of arrivals. You are not required to entertain the guests as the Guest Wing is separate - you just need to welcome them and show them their room etc. It is very easy to manage and is not a lot of work if you are organised!! but it works better when there is a couple to do the work as opposed to a single person. We have a gardener who comes in so gardening is not required. Most of the gardens are natives and we have reticulation & sub-surface irrigation for the rose garden.
Located in the Margaret River wine region which is a very popular area for tourism, with a multitude of wineries, restaurants, galleries, coastal walks and beaches. We are an easy 3hr drive south from Perth. You would need a car in this area although we can leave ours for you. Our property is located in a very quiet area at the end of a cul-de-sac and we are on 8 acres of beautiful old-growth forest. WiFi is also available free of charge.
