Ours is a contemporary lakefront home in a wooded subdivision near Tallahassee. The house has vaulted ceiling, gas fireplace, great views and is equipped with all amenities. We have “cut the cord” and rely on cell s and on streaming video for TV entertainment. Our internet/wifi is very fast. Wildlife is seen daily in the yard including deer, water birds and many others, migratory and resident.
North Florida, (aka “The Other Florida”), is very different from the densely populated peninsula. We are surrounded by natural beauty; crystal clear springs, forests, abundant wildlife and the “Forgotten Coast” of the Gulf of Mexico. Tallahassee is a college town with cultural events, great restaurants, hiking and bike trails and shopping.
A car is essential as we are 15 miles from downtown, 6 miles from the nearest grocery and 40 miles from the coast. Also we will need a ride to and from the airport, (about 20 miles).
Willow, our 11 year old Wheaton Terrier is a sweet and loving indoor dog. She generally has the run of the house but is crate trained and sleeps in her crate at night. She needs plenty of attention and at least one good walk a day.
