Einsteinhaus is now a museum with an exhibition featuring Einstein’s life and his work. There are also dozens of colourful, artistic public fountains in Bern and many of them can be found in the old part of town. Things to Do in Bern The cobbled streets in the old part of Bern are lined with picturesque outdoor cafes, atmospheric restaurants and exciting boutiques. The new Bear Park on the banks of the Aare has replaced the old Bear Pit and houses two brown bears, historical symbols of the city of Bern.
