I am a single man in his sixties, in excellent health, with Australian and British citizenship, who retired five years ago after seventeen years as Headmaster of one of Australia/Melbourne's prestigious private schools. I am very domesticated and independent, and can provide excellent references from Melbourne and Los Angeles and London as to my dependability. I am currently living near Richmond in an apartment owned by a lady who spends much of her time at her place in the country but is due to sell her Richmond property during the coming months. I pay rent and am happy to continue doing so. I am happy to perform any household duties. I can undertake not to be away from the house overnight at any time. I am looking for a medium house-sit, say four - six weeks, but am flexible. I have been house-sitting since 2007, and have done this in London, France, Boston, Los Angeles, New York. I have regularly house- sat in Los Angeles for a month and have been invited back each year. Most recently I cat-sat for a lady in Brooklyn, New York for three weeks in May 2011. I do not expect any remuneration for my house- sitting dutues, just a comfortable house in an interesting place! I am also willing to pay rent/utilities etc.
