Hello, I am Clare, retired ABC radio and television presenter and experienced house & pet-sitter of over 30 years (see references for details).
I lead a quiet, simple life - studying, walking, swimming and gardening, whilst seeking to maintain good health in aesthetically pleasing environments, in homes that are well maintained by their owners. I absolutely have to be near a good swimming beach, ocean pool, or river estuary.
To this end, I migrate between the coastal areas of mainland Australia (May-Oct) and Tasmania (Oct-May), and am always asked to return to the homes I have previously cared for.
Whilst I have looked after a variety of domestic animals in the past, I now prefer to care for indoor/outdoor cats, or other not too boisterous or demanding animals.

Seeking to house-sit in peaceful coastal areas, close to easily accessible water for outdoor swimming, incl: Sydney's Northern Beaches/Pittwater, NSW Central Coast: Ettalong, Woy Woy, Umina, Patonga, Terrigal, Wamberal. Mid-north coast: Yamba, Lake Cathie, Laurieton.
Tasmania (Oct - May only) South Arm, Opossum Bay, Roches Beach, Lauderdale, Orford, Kingston Beach, Blackmans Bay and anywhere else on the coast that I have yet to become acquainted with.
