I retired at age 58 and I have been housesitting for seven years as a way to see new places and meet new friends. I do not charge for this pleasure but some people give me restaurant gift cards. References from repeat housesits are available. I have repeat clients in Las Vegas, Albuquerque, Sante Fe, Flagstaff and Las Cruces but I am especially looking for locations in Tucson,El Paso & San Antonio and anywhere in Colorado. I have taken care of 6 cats in one house, 6 Shitzu's two other dogs, 2 Koi, 2 birds, 2 miniature donkeys and a flock of doves at another, a 15 year old black Lab and various other dogs and cats and a Beta.
In prior lives I have been a Big-eight auditor, CFO of a $1 Billion Insurance Company(fastest growing in the US -1989), Controller of INC Magazine's fastest growing private co in the US (1994), manager of the largest privately held condo rental/management company in Breckenridge, CO, a software installer and consultant and most recently semi-retired facility manager for ninety ski condos in UT.
At one time I had four cats. Only had one dog. I used to volunteer at the animal shelter in Frisco, CO to take care of the cats. I am an avid gardener so you don't need to worry about your flowers and grass. I have had up to fifty rose bushes. (Quite a trick keeping them alive in Des Moines winters.) I am perfectly willing to do little home repair chores or painting if we work it out in advance so I can bring the proper tools (I have one of everything.)

About four years ago I found out I could leave a raging blizzard in Utah and be on the beach in Mexico ten hours later. So now I have my second home eight miles south of the border from San Diego. I do not smoke, drink rarely and have never been stupid enough to try drugs. My favorite vice is a pint of Cherry Garcia.
