My name is Alyne. I'm a laid-back, tidy, non-smoking, responsible 37 year old woman who's been pet, home & garden sitting most of my life , & professionally since 2010.
I'm available to love & care for your home & pets (of all kinds) while you're away for any length of time.
Because I don't work a normal job & am currently working on a women's healing project online, as well as wanting to get back to a writing project, I can be in the house with your pets most of the time, & my flexibility allows that I can give your home & animals the attention, love, & energy they deserve.
I love having opppotunites to spend time alone (but with animals) in beautiful areas where I can focus on meaningful creative projects, most especially in nature.
I look forward to connecting with you to talk about an exchange that's beneficial for us both!

~~~Lover of animals of all kinds. I grew up in the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountains of Northern California where my family always had dogs, cats, & ducks who were my companions & fellow adventurers until I moved abroad at 18 years old.
I've mostly worked in the healing arts field doing massage therapy, bodywork & reflexology, as well as alternative trauma resolution, & elderly care. In 2010 I began more regular pet-& house sitting for business seeing the great need for reliable & trustworthy sitters when I moved to Seattle, Washington, USA.
I enjoy a quiet, peaceful life full of reading, writing, being in nature, parks, practicing yoga, meditating, hiking, dancing, giving foot massage, animal massage, studying healing arts & psychology, traveling, hearing people's life stories, & otherwise enjoying the beauty of wherever I'm currently doing pet & home care.
Experience Caring For:
How long have you been pet-sitting:
Forever! From childhood, I naturally began doing pet care for neighbors, friends, and relatives as I always had an affinity for animals and loved helping care for plants and gardens. Over time, my love of this work naturally developed into a small scale business that I've enjoyed over the last few years in varying areas of CA and WA, as well as on the East Coast.
Tell us a story about your love of animals:
What first comes to mind is from my time living in the South Pacific's Kingdom of Tonga, where I moved when I was 18.
As a kid, I adopted one of my favorite, most beloved dogs, Strawberry. She'd been abandoned on the side of the road where my family discovered her on a long drive to the Strawberry Music Festival in Yosemite National Park. Strawberry was my best friend and companion until I moved to the Kingdom of Tonga. She passed away while I was teaching there and upon hearing the news I was so distraught that I missed a couple of days of classes, excusing myself by telling everyone that one of my best friends at home had died.
Dogs aren't usually loved or even befriended in Tonga. Instead, families keep them for security purposes and at times dogs are even eaten. I felt the Tongan teachers I worked with wouldn't understand my mourning over my dog, so I failed to mention that this "best friend" wasn't human. I explained my situation in a way I thought they could best relate to.
I imagine many of you feel the same way about your beloved pets. They are often our best friends and companions in life.
