See our profile at HouseSittersWhoCare with pictures of us and our previous pets and references from people we’ve pet/house-sat for in Europe and the western States.
We've had horses, dogs, cats, parrots, parakeets, finches, sheep, pigs, chickens, ducks, rabbits, fish, frogs, and turtles. We’ve never had human children. We treat pets with the same love and energy as parents do their children. As house sitters, we won’t just be home at night. One of us is at home all the time except for one or two half-days on the weekend when we hike or swim in the country. We provide more than just care, but love and company for your companions.
Duane is a Dutchman and it is most obvious in his need for cleanliness and orderliness in his home environment. Having managed and owned a cleaning business in the eighties, cleaning comes naturally, and is an enjoyable pastime. We’re non-smokers, punctual and organized. Duane is a writer and feelings-facilitator. Lori is a vegetarian-chef.
Duane is handy and is qualified to make minor repairs to electricity, plumbing, and structures. Lori worked in the horticulture business for ten years and has a sense of what plants need to thrive, both indoors and out.
Nature makes us happy. Give us your four-legged children and landscape to care for each day, and you will have made our travel experience a rich and blessed one.
We’ve been traveling full-time for fourteen years, usually spending 3 to 6 months in one home. We’ve rented homes all over the world, but after a while, we miss animals and house plants and yard-watering, so we’re hoping you might help us out with a little physical work to balance our wandering spirits.
