It was through a good friend of ours that Nick and I found our way into the whole phenomenon of housesitting. Both Nick and I have been benefitting the cats, dogs, chickens, fish, plants and houses we've been looking after since August As housesitters, we see that tending to the needs of your animals and providing them with company as our primary focus. Therefore with 2 people you can always be assured that someone will be at home EVERYDAY to spend time with your animals, feed them, walk them and stay on top of any flea or worming treatments if the need arises. It should also be noted that we have our own transport so we’re not restricted in terms of location. Both Nick and myself are studying and are also involved in various community and sustainability organisations within the Illawarra including the refugee organisation SCARF, The North Gong Permaculture Garden, the Stop CSG campaign. We see housesitting as a wonderful example or how community can work to ensure that everyone gets there needs met!
