I am a Special Educator in Vermont School. Originally from the UK, I packed up and came to the US in Since then I have raised three children, all now in their mid to late 20's, living in Philadelphia and Chicago. I also lived in The Netherlands for 2 years before returning to the US in I have traveled extensively all over Europe, Canada, the US and the Caribbean. My partner, Jim, is a carpenter and builder here in Vermont. We both like the idea of traveling while staying in one place at a time.
I have owned homes for three decades and know the importance of staying on top of maintenance, cleaning and up-keep of the garden and looking after animals etc. Jim has looked after various animals including chickens, pigs and cows, while my experience is more domestic pets such as dogs, cats and rats. I have a Maine Coon cat and Jim has a cat. We have an excellent cat sitter to look after our pets while we travel. I also used to have a Golden Retriever, but sadly, he died. Needless to say, I'm a dog and cat lover, and so is Jim.
We love the outdoors and gardening, and are both home-bodies, preferring to stay home with a good book than party. We are non- smokers but do drink wine and beer on occasion.
I would take excellent care of your home and pets. I would be available to house-sit during school vacations only.
