We live on 2.5 acres in a stunning setting right on the beach in Ball Bay ~40 mins drive north of Mackay. The property is secluded, quiet and peaceful: no nightlife. About 200 people inhabit Ball Bay. We back onto McBride's National Park (the rare McBride's Wallaby lives here), and there is a walking track through the park to Haliday Bay. Wildlife abounds, birds -including a couple of semi tame curlews, sea eagles and roos and wallabies. Cape Hillsborough NP is a 10 minute drive and it is also a 10 minute drive to the nearest corner store, PO and fuel, and a couple of places to go out to eat. Our dog Russell (cattle dog x kelpie) would really like it if someone could come and look after him rather than go to kennels from September. He is a 5 year old active boy that loves to play and run on the beach, though is equally content to lie companionably by your side. . Russell is very sociable - both with people and other critters including the wildlife, he thankfully doesn't threaten any of it.He comes when called (even for strangers) and is generally obedient and low maintenance. We fly out on the morning of the 10th and get back on the evening of the 20th. You will need a car as we are 45km from Mackay and there is no public transport
