I am a Canadian citizen, 58 year-old, physically healthy and active woman. I moved to Ottawa last June and am a school librarian in two French-language schools downtown. I love animals - our dog "Lola" is a member of the family. I am looking for house sitting opportunities in the Boston area that would allow me to visit my son who studies there, but whose apartment is too smal to accommodate guests for an extended period.
I have previous housesitting experience I feel that house sitting allows me to travel independently while staying in a "real" setting; I am not a hotel or resort kind of person. I would like to be able to stay in a home where I can relax and cook my own meals when I'm not out exploring. I had a lovely time house and pet sitting for a month (September in Denmark for Birthe and Claus, and for Frances and Henry Milner in Montreal for two winters - both of these couples have become friends. In addition, I have 20 years of experience as owner of a large house and property, so I am aware of how much effort is required to maintain a garden/property. I will treat your home and pets with care and respect. I am a responsible and meticulous housekeeper, handy, and fully able to deal with anything that might come up relating to house and pet care.
