I have owned my own homes in the past, been the owner-operator of a cottage rental business, and have done much pet and house-sitting.
I love animals and care for them well. People notice how relaxed and happy their pets are around me. Friends have timed their vacations for when I can care for their beloved animals (especially dogs and cats).
I have had my own dogs and cats all my life until two years ago when my -year old tabby cat Simon died. Since then, I have been house sitting and caring for others' pets in their homes, until I have my own permanent place and pet companion again.
I am physically fit and love going for walks. I'm happy to care for active dogs. I also specialize in geriatric and shy animals, and can care for those with special medical needs. I have taken a certified pet first aid course.
I have lived in rustic cabins as well as high-end homes. This means I can equally handle a woodstove or quirky water system, or an alarm- system and fine furnishings. I do house-staging if your home is for sale. Light gardening is not a problem.
I am a writer who went back to school recently for screenwriting. Now I am reducing my expenses while I develop my portfolio.
