We are a professional couple with a widely diverse background. Between the two of us, we have owned and managed properties, so we understand what it takes to manage and nurture a home. While serving as an officer in the US Naval Reserve, I obtained my post-graduate degrees in psychology and psychological counseling from Columbia University, and also obtained professional certification as a Yoga Therapist. My entrepreneurial spirit won out in the end, and I am currently in business for myself, freelance writing and consulting. My partner is a musician and a writer, has worked as a private chef, and has a background in engineering and property management. He is wonderful with animals (especially cats), and is a talented gardener and DIY handyman.
At the end of March, we returned home from six months of volunteer work in Brazil, which included short-term care of a home and several animals, as well as the development of a self-sustaining garden system. We are now watching a ranch out in Southern Colorado through the end of October. We are taking care of a drip irrigation system, electric cattle fence, a goose and a dog! We are currently seeking medium to long-term assignments absolutely anywhere in the world - preferably in some place warm :-) We are building our online business and writing a book, so our only requirement is that we have access to a high speed internet connection. Other than that we are extremely low- maintenance and versatile!
