Hi, We are Carrie and Paul,
We have been living a life of adventure since November and we experience great joy in meeting amazing people and their furry companions who have welcomed us into their homes and allowed us to be part of their family for a while. We have stayed in a variety of places within the Auckland region, we’ve learned a lot on the journey so far, experiencing different homes, large and small, from those with a small lawn, or a fancy garden and those with fields with horses, cows, sheep, goats and chooks.
One of our latest house sits involved taking care of a smallholding in rural Dairy Flat with wonderful dogs who we'd take on walks to the beach and the forest, fabulous horses who just needed a bit of love and attention and cows who just needed an eye turned their way every now and then.
Whilst Carrie works Part Time in Albany Paul is developing a home internet business and is never too far away to give love and attention to cats, dogs, even horses, sheep and goats during the day and keep an eye on your home.
We have both grown up with pets, cats and dogs, and know what an integral part they are in any family and how sometimes you don’t want to leave them in a cattery or kennel, which is why we devote time, energy and love whilst they are a part of our family especially when there’s dogs involved.
Carrie is from the UK and has been living in NZ since , she has volunteered for a number of people as a wwoofer on and off over a number of years and looked after home, garden, chooks and furry family members whilst the hosts were away. She has also been an employee of a Pet Care agency doing house sits.
Paul is Kiwi, has had experience of taking care of horses, goats, dogs and cats. One of the horses was looked after for three months after a friend broke her ankle.
Paul is also handy with a hammer and tools and is more than able to fix things when necessary.
We enjoy being in a tidy clean environment and enjoy people returning to their home if not as good as when they left then better. We're honest about accidents and have simple needs, just internet and warmth!
Together, we are a fun loving, creative couple who will take great care of your home and pets like they're our own. Dogs will get walked every day, and all animals made a fuss of :o).
We neither smoke, drink, take drugs or eat meat.
