Hello There! We are Katy and Jason.
A happy, married couple in our mid-forties. Young enough to take long walks with your dogs, keep garden’s tidy and houses spick and span. Mature enough to be respectful and responsible. We've cared for enough animals to make Dr Doolittle look like an amateur, and have lovely references and experience to show for it. Katy says: "I am nuts about animals! House sitting gives me the wonderful opportunity to be a foster mom to all sorts of pets & farm animals. We enjoy experiencing new places, not just as tourists, but as contributors to a local place and see house-sitting as a wonderful way to contribute while making new friends and being part of a community.
Jason says: "Fantastically we find ourselves footloose and fancy free! I'm enjoying travelling around the world experiencing new vistas and learning much along the way. As an adventurous and open-minded pair, home sitting is a wonderful way to get off the beaten track & live life at a new slower mindful pace. We offer peace of mind that your home and pets are in safe, caring experienced hands. We aren't averse to pet hair, long walks or fussy pets and their peccadillo’s.
We housesit full-time and are most excellent givers of cuddles and pats to all the wonderful fur family members we have had the pleasure of getting to know over the past two years. Since we were fortunate to retire early, and are financially independent, we can devote our time to being caring companions to your beloved pets.
Walking and entertaining them is our pleasure, we love to be outdoors under blue skies and are both fit healthy non-smokers. Both myself and Jason are huge animal lovers. Jason is quite the dog whisperer. They seem drawn to his naturally calm and confident manner. I’m more the singer of silly songs, Cat lover and general tummy tickler. I’m also very at home amongst the flowerbeds and gardens. Getting my green fingers dirty is a treat. We know our way around a fuse box and boiler, Jason is a dab hand with a toolbox. So, should the need arise we're capable of minor maintenance and dealing with the unexpected. Many of the marvelous homes we have cared for have had swimming pools. We understand the difference between a backwash and strainer baskets.
As homeowners ourselves, we appreciate the finer points of what it is to maintain a property and leave it in wonderful condition. We enjoy a quiet lifestyle. Creativity is at the heart of many of our favorite pursuits. I take pleasure in painting, drawing and making anything craft based. Jason enjoys the strategic nature of chess and is re-discovering a love for photography. We enjoy the arts, theatre cinema. We like a good old belly laugh too and try not to take our selves or life too seriously.
