I would be a genuinly good candidate to watch over your pets and home while you're away as I too have been a home and pet owner. My babies (labrador retriever x's) were my kids, well trained and affectionately loved! My roommates ran a dog rescue organization and I often help look after very sick dogs, administering their medications, bathing them, cuddling them, waking up in the middle of the night to let them out to do their business and lots and lots of walking and playing! I have great references from the 3 house sits I've done so far if you need them! I owned and renovated my own one hundred year old house as well, so I'm generally handy in that department!
I am in a financially independant position where I do not need to work and would love to see as much of the world as possible! My goal is to spend some time in each place as to integrate myself better into the culture and be able to take photographs and write about the environment around me! And food...I love food, so cooking and trying new things in my environment is right up my alley!!
I am passionate about animals and do whatever it takes to help/love and protect them! I was raised to be polite, respectful and grateful so I would treat your home and belongings with the upmost respect! I am honest, reliable and a self-starter. I can do all sorts of yard work, gardening and running and playing with your dogs as I enjoy staying physically fit myself!
If it's just a homestay that you need with no pets involved I would be honoured to be chosen to look after your home and would spend my free time, after any neccessary chores were taken care of, writing, reading and photographing! I am a non-smoker, don't party but do enjoy a glass of wine or cocktail sometimes with a nice meal! I am a chef by trade, but have also been a volunteer fire fighter and emergency medical technician.
