(We had to put a date, but we would need a house-sitter as soon as possible.) We need a housesitter (not a couple or families, sorry), who can arrive quickly - please don't apply for 'next year' etc. We're looking for a sitter who has everything lined up and is ready to arrive. You will need to be a special person WITH A VALID DRIVING LICENCE who adores animals and would treat them with much love, respect and attention; and who would take great care of our home and tend to the three quarters of a hectare of land. We would only need house-carers who wish to come for a long-term stay, from three/six months to a year. We need commitment, and not a stepping-stone to be used as a cheap hotel, and then move on -excuse us for needing to say this. We are in the countryside in France in the region of 'Centre'. It is a lovely region, and the local people are very friendly and welcoming. We are 4kms from the nearest town, and 20 minutes from a larger town. There are bicycles for transport. You need a driving licence and need to be permitted legally to drive a car in France, in case you or the animals have an emergency. We would love to welcome you here. Free accommodation and utilities/electric, if careful with consumption, in return for home-sitting, garden-, pet-caring. Two donkeys, five friendly dogs, one adorable goat, two dwarf sheep, chickens, an alpaca. We'll be at home much of the time and away sometimes. Your stay may involve a house-move with us within France also. Please ensure you have got up-to-date police-check confirmation, and hope that you can understand that both we and you need to be careful. We are looking for a carer who would keep the house and land particularly VERY neat, clean and tidy, so you would need high standards. In answer to questions we've been asked frequently -we are not able to receive carers who would need to get a job locally or otherwise, and we can't give wages. IF YOU'RE WISHING TO COME TO FRANCE FROM ABROAD - PLEASE GATHER ALL NECESSARY VISA INFORMATION AND OTHER INFORMATION and have everything prepared, and be ready to travel before contacting us - thanks for understanding that, although we would like to, we haven't the time to do that, - you need to check in your own country.
