After having an epiphany of sorts a couple years ago, we realised that we are juggling too much in our lives.
We have decided to make the move to live simpler lives. Lives that allow us to spend the most time together, as that is when we are the happiest.
We have happily parted ways with most of our belongings, we sold our house and began renting a small apartment three years ago.
I work as an administrative assistant to world renowned specialists, while my hubby quit his labouring job to become full time daddy day care to our awesome three year old. We realise though, we're not living as simply as we would like to yet.
We decided to involve travelling in our life by having a new adventure every few months and going where the wind takes us. I will have stopped my full time job with benefits, only to continue on the sort of work I did before I became a mom and a - er - hospitality.
I have an extensive hospitality background, since I was 24 years of age. I have lived in Scotland, England, the Yukon and Toronto. I have managed inns, worked as live in management, been involved in hospitality extensively. I can provide many references both from my hospital employment and from my hospitality background. I currently also have a small catering business on the side for extra $ and my husband and I are both musical. Oscar has worked in kitchens, food prep and such, wherever help was needed.
Our plan would be to find a part time job for one of us while we are there, to support us for groceries, etc, but thats about it. we live simply, we don't require much - we are all about nature hikes, sitting in the sun with a picnic and we don't really spend much money. Hence, how we can afford to live on one small salary in downtown Toronto. As i said before, this is about us being able to adventure - meet new people, explore a new place and then move along!
I'm not all that great with words at the moment, but we are just a great family, with lots of friends and support, many of which know that we a lot to offer!
We would like to begin housesitting, and see it as the ideal way to travel across this great country of ours with our wee gal and help others at the same time.
We are open to looking after pets and will travel anywhere, literally anywhere, in Canada. We have a car(SUV) as well.
We could skpe with you if you are interested in meeting us!
Thanks so much for reading this and thanks in advance for your time and consideration!
Best, Cecilia
