Hello, I'm Melanie!
I have a career in editing that allows me to work remotely. It gives me the freedom to travel and experience new ways of life, which I love.
Cats are my absolute favorite animals. I'm told that I have a gift connecting with them. It is likely that I just understand their desire to be calmly admired. :) Cats especially enjoy the extra time I can spend with them while I work from home on my computer. You can also depend on me to take great care of lawns, gardens and house plants.
A little about my personal life, I'm a mentor for the non-profit organization Big Brothers Big Sisters. I had to pass an extensive background check in order to volunteer for this role. My "little sister" from the program is now 19 years old and we still keep in touch! Reading and writing are some of my favorite pastimes, and I can spend hours in vintage stores looking at clothes, records and other cool relics.
In addition, I do not smoke and am a vegetarian. I'm also a very reliable person. If I commit to a place and time, you can depend on me to fulfill my obligation. Having been a homeowner myself, I will treat your home as I would hope someone would treat mine:
- I will clean daily (without using harsh cleaning chemicals that damage surfaces).
- I will ensure that everything is in proper working order (and alert you of any potential issues).
- I will be gentle with your plumbing.
- I will not leave food sitting around to attract pests.
- I will be very respectful of your privacy.
Further, I think you will find that I am very considerate, great at following instructions and will take the utmost care of your home, garden and pets.
