Hello! My daughter and I may be the perfect choice for someone to take care of your house and love your pets and house plants while you are away. I am a consultant and author and can do my work from anywhere that I have phone and internet access. I live with my daughter, who is also a writer and who is taking collage courses online. We are quiet, responsible and clean. While we love to get out and see things in areas we are visiting, we would likely spend most of our time at home, writing and working.
Don't drink, don't smoke, do drugs or host raves. Yeah, some folks may consider us boring, but we are awfully friendly about it.
We are looking for situations with at least 2 bedrooms, reasonable internet access, and nice surroundings. Having a pet to love would be a welcome bonus.
My wife of 24 years passed away recently, and my daughter and I are looking for change and a chance to rebuild our lives. We have been house sitting since March, and we have enjoyed the experience.
We want quiet situations where we can do our work while being able to experience different places, cultures and people for extended periods of time. House sitting provides a low cost opportunity to travel, meet amazing people and see exciting places and things, yet be able to have some of the nicer amenities of home, such as; privacy, furnishings, a place to cook, and pets to love. Hotels can be nice but when we can bake our own chocolate chip cookies in a nice house, the allure of living out of a suitcase in a small, expensive room looses a bit of its charm.
We have been house sitting since March of 2014 and we are currently on our second assignment which will end at the end of September. I have been a home owner for many years and know what it takes to take care of a home. For the past few years we have been renting in Utah and Texas and have great references from our landlords. We love animals. Over the years our family members have included dogs (our golden retriever, Shasta passed away in 2012 after 12 wonderful years) cats, rabbits, fish and song birds.
We are really good at following directions and respecting and honoring others. Your house, pets and plants will be taken care of the way you would take care of them yourself. While we are looking for a bit of adventure and the opportunity to experience other places and people, we spend most of our time at home. Your home will be safe, your pets loved and your plants watered.
