I am very respectful of other peoples homes, and a very private person. I am a seasoned journalist and author, so can work from anywhere (as long as there is WiFi). I am currently working on a book and appreciate working away from my busy hometown of Santa Barbara (over thirty years) with it's many distractions.
As a homeowner, world traveler (travel and design writer), animal lover (especially cats and very special dogs..), I am respectful of other people's homes. I have taken care of a house with four cats for six months that needed daily medication, and I have house sat where it's just a matter of watering the plants and bringing in the mail. I can keep in contact and handle any emergencies or needs while you are away.
I am very flexible and can travel anywhere (within reason) and sit for any length of time. I also have a background in art and antiques (owned two antique shops in the past) and work with major auction houses and art collectors, so am very respectful of fine objects in a home.
I don't smoke, I do drink an occasional glass of wine with dinner and enjoy cooking. But mostly I just like to write/work and walk and swim (if you have a pool or ocean nearby!) and read. If you prefer to have a light on while you are away, let me be your beacon.
