We are looking for someone to housesit and take good care of our 2 cats (one elderly, one pesky Tonkinese) and 2 lop eared rabbits. Paekakariki is a small Kapiti village by the sea, 40min drive north of Wellington. You can also train into Wellington in 45mins. The closest large supermarket/banks etc is a 10min drive.
It's a quirky, arty community with lots on. There's a well stocked local dairy, cafe, deli, boutique movie theatre, pub, Mexican restaurant, design store and fruit and vege shop. There's a huge park that's great for walks. We have 2 kayaks. Our home has 3 bedrooms - it's not a mansion, but is sunny and a great spot to hang out in. Wi-Fi and Sky TV.
