Our normal solution fell through and so we are looking for someone to come take care of our house, dog, cat, chickens, and turtles. I know it is short notice at this point!
This time of year there is no yard work but there are some winter greens and carrots in the garden that can be harvested and eaten if you want! The dog needs to be fed, watered, pet and he also receives medication. He has some anxiety issues and mostly sleeps all day. He can play in the back yard if he needs exercise but due to his fear of other dogs we won't ask you to walk him. He does love car rides if the weather permits. The cat is an indoor/outdoor cat and he received raw food in the evenings. He is a wonderful cuddler. The 4 chickens just need fresh food and water and to have their eggs collected (if they are laying any...Winter is a slow time for egg production). The feeder fish for the turtles need to be fed but they are otherwise self sufficient.
Our house is located in a quiet neighborhood within an hour's drive of Washington DC, Annapolis, Baltimore, and the Eastern Shore. Great for using as a hub to explore the larger area for history buffs or someone looking to take in the sites and cultures of the close by yet distinct areas. We have a fireplace for cozy evenings and a beautiful dining room. It is a 4 bedroom house on a tree covered lot with a nice homey feel. It is a great place to curl up and read or write with big bay windows overlooking a small ravine.
We can sleep up to 6-8 people comfortably in the house so if you are looking for a cheap way to bring your family to visit our nation's capital...This could be it!
