We are looking for a reliable couple/person who is available for a month in June/July 2015 to care for our home and our 2 pets while we are overseas. Our home is on a fairly quiet street on the outskirts of Creswick which is a lovely small town 15mins north of Ballarat in Central Victoria. Creswick is an ideal location to explore the surrounding areas, has an extensive visitors centre, cafes, 2 pubs, several lakes and great bush walking opportunities, including access to the famous Goldfields Track.
Our home is an 1880 double brick heritage style house. We have extended it to include a 4th bedroom and are currently in the process of renovating the original rooms and there are still lots of jobs to be done, including the main bathroom and hallway. The main living areas, although no oil painting are cosy and comfortable. There is ample heating, hot water and appliances and everything you will need for an enjoyable stay. Our gardens are also a work in progress, so there will be no expectation to do any upkeep.Hopefully we should have a lawn by then but as it will be wintertime it will not need mowing or maintenance. The is ample space for parking. Our pets are both female and have lovely personalities. Both are pampered and love their home comforts. Our dog ( a staffie) is 11 years old and although happy to be outside in the garden during the day she needs to relax in front of the gas log fire in the evening and then be tucked up into her bed in the laundry at night. She enjoys the occasional walk although she will be a bit sore the following day and require nurturing. She has a special dietary supplement to help with her arthritis. Our young cat (2 yrs), is a very fluffy indoor puss although by the time we go away she will have access to an outdoor area whenever she chooses. She is a real talker and will definitely keep you company. She loves to play with all her toys and is very sociable, she will give lots of cuddles and attention and loves a nice lap to snuggle down into too.
