We are looking for a house/pet sitter that likes the beach, small town, wildlife and quiet. We live on a 20 mile peninsula with Pacific ocean on one side and a bay on the other. Lots of wildlife, walking trails through state parks, fishing, clamming, walk to the beach. Cranberries are grown here and blackberries grow wild through out the area.
We have a parklike garden but tending it will not be necessary. The weather in October should be very nice, maybe some rain towards November. Nice temps daytime, cool nights. All basic necessities are available on the peninsula but 30 miles away, across the river to Astoria, Oregon has more shopping, some big box stores and restaurants. Liking solitude is a must. A car is recommended but there is transit service. The house has 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, garage, guest house b&b, studio and large shed. Cable tv, unlimited internet included, cell coverage can be spotty. We have 1 cat, Mac, and he is mostly an inside, lovey cat. A great hunter from the deck, keeping an eye on the birds. He wants companionship and will snuggle beside you in bed.
