My wife and I are both retired. We love to travel and enjoy meeting new people in the areas we have visited. I was born in Canada and lived here all my life. June was born in Bristol England and emigrated to Canada with her parents when she was 13 years old. She is a Canadian citizen.
I have lived on the Big Island (Hilo and Kona) for over 30 months after I retired- with my wife joining me for the last 2 weeks ( she was working at the time). I would be open to long term house sitting with my wife joining me for a few weeks of the stay.
We have two rescue black cats that need lots of attention. We both love Dogs and Cats although animals seem to love June more than me. And I thought I was the loveable one but I've been wrong before.
We are non-smokers and drink only in social settings - never drink alone. We have been in our home for 32 years. My wife enjoys cooking, sewing and design/decorating, entertaining and hosting stylish dinner parties. I love to BBQ, swim, snorkel, travel, doing light landscaping and eating June's cooking. I build a waterfalls and pond in our backyard. Everyone is suprised that our fish are able to survive the winter in a frozen pond [it is 5' deep at one end].
I was in finance for 47 years and held positions from accountant to VP-Finance throuhout my work career. My wife worked for one of the major Canadian banks for 38 years and retired in 2014.
We are a responsible couple who will treat your house with respect, and care for it like it is our own. Your pets risk being spoiled with all the love and affection we will give them. We are two softies when it come to cats and dogs. We will treat your pets with loving care and give them a ton of attention.
We are energetic, love to walk, snorkelling, enjoy local restaurants and the experience of discovery. Some of our younger friends (many of them still working) can not believe the energy we have. When we have traveled with them, we've left them sitting on the beach or a bench while we keep exploring the area.

In 2022 and 2023we have done over a dozen house sits in Puu Lani near Kona, Ocean View and one in Los Vegas. We have done one in Puu Lani and are going to do one in late 2023 plus one in Bonaire. We have been asked to do one in Hawaii and one in Bonaire in January 2025.
We quite flexable on dates and times. Each of our Hawaiian sits left us their car and for ALL our sits there were no problems - returning the vehicles clean and with a topped up gas tank.
