and I’ve never had a problem or situation arise that I couldn’t solve quickly, creatively, & in a calm manner, without ever disrupting a client’s vacation. (Although I have some good stories to tell!) Animals love me & I love them. I’m not sure why, but it’s true. If they want to sleep on the couch with me, we do. If we need to take 10 walks a day, we do, & have fun doing it. If a pet is not allowed on the furniture, I make sure that doesn’t happen. I’ve cared for old family pets, sick animals who needed meds, wild & energetic puppies & kittens, pets with highly structured routines. Indoors & outdoors, in every kind of weather. Horses to chickens, goats to guinea pigs. On farms & in small apartments.
I’ve had clients re-schedule vacation plans so that I was available to take care of their pets. I so much believe that ALL animals are infinitely better off staying in their own home, eating the food they always eat, at the time they always eat it, following their usual routines when their owners need to be gone.
