My wife and I have been caring for homes, gardens, and animals in San Francisco Bay, Monterey Bay, and other coastal areas of California on a short term basis (10 days to 3 weeks) for more than ten years.
I am a retired minister/social worker. Donna, my partner was a retired music teacher and hospital worker. She died on July I stil desire to experience new places for writing,solitude,relaxation and meditation.

I am very active. I run 5-7 miles three times a week. I have completed 35 full marathons. I ran the Big Sur Marathon on May 1, 2011.
I am a non-moker and teetotaler.
I live in Minnesota but have access to frequent flyer miles. While I prefer as much lead time as possible, I can be in your home with a twenty-four hour notice.
I spend several weeks a year with friends and family who live in the Monterey Bay area of California.
