Retired Professional English Couple

| | | | | | | We are a retired university lecturer and social
worker and live approximately two miles from the
centre of the major port of Southampton, on the
south coast of England, and 90 mins by train from
London. Nearby are the cathedral cities of
Salisbury, Winchester and Chichester and other
historic attractions like Stonehenge and the New
Forest.
We want to travel and see as much of the world as
possible during our early retirement, to visit
overseas friends and to see often talked-about
places.
We are available for short- to medium-length house
sits in the spring and autumn/fall, and winter in
the USA and Canada.
We have both held positions of responsibility
during our professional careers and consider
ourselves very reliable and responsible to care
for your home. We don't have animals and prefer
not to housesit dogs or other animals that need
regular attention as it would be a lot of
responsibility, but we would be happy to look
after cats and other easy-to-care-for animals.
We have welcomed many overseas guests into our own
home - including from N. America and most European
countries - and kept in touch with many of them.
Some have become very good friends, some we
consider our family, and they likewise see us as
members of their families. Many regularly return
to visit us and we always spend time with them
when we travel abroad. One of us speaks some
French and a little Spanish. |
