learning about (and experiencing) new people,
cultures & locations, thus expanding my
understanding of what it means to be human.
I was raised on a working farm and enjoy puttering
in veggie & flower gardens provided it is warm/hot
and/or sunny.
I have learned that all living creatures deserve
to be respected for the unique & worthy individual
each is; I especially enjoy the eager openness of
animals and children, but connect easily with
adults as well.
This acceptance, enjoyment & respect for different
approaches to life and living means that I don't
just "mark time" in new environments, but actively
seek to get to know it and then incorporate as
much as possible of what is positive about it into
my own perspectives.
I read rather than watch TV; am active rather than
sedentary; prefer to keep my environment neat,
tidy and clean; have a natural knack for
supporting the inherent beauty in homes and
property; love hot weather & struggle when it is
cold; am a proactively safe driver; and volunteer
in my community.
I have a son of college age who will relocate with
me for long sojourns (six-twelve+ months) to
enroll in the engineering program at a local
university or those taking place during school
holidays. He typically spends his free time
designing buildings, and composing orchestral
compositions. |
