Thank you for taking time to read our bio:
My husband and myself are on a sabbatical for
the next year. We are currently travelling
through France into Spain and Portugal with a
caravan. Our children have flown
the nest and we have taken the opportunity to
take time out.
We decided to house sit as a way of breaking up
our travels and giving us the opportunity to
stay for longer in one area, getting to know the
community and experiencing opportunities we may
not have had the change to do otherwise.
We are travelling with a touring caravan, which
again gives us freedom and flexiblility to
choose our stop of places .
We have with us our two small super friendly
Border terrier dogs (Mother and son)
*Please do not be put off that we have our dogs
with us, we do so as animal lovers who want to
share this experience with our pets and also do
not relish the thought of putting them in
kennels for such a long time. Our dogs are
extremely sociable and our caravan can also
double as sleeping accom. for them should it be
necessary.
We would require somewhere to park the 'van-
don't worry it is a beauty,not an eyesaw:)
We have just finished housesitting a beautiful
semi
converted longbarn near Limoges and caring for
pigs, sheep, free range chickens and
loveable dogs. We walked all dogs together and
they had so much fun that they usually ended up
sleeping for hours afterwards.
We thoroughly enjoyed the new experience of
looking after a small holding with veg plot and
large grounds
and grew attached to our new
charges. Our dogs loved all their new friends
and
they have all accepted each other brilliantly.
We are currently in Avignon
We are a healthy, active 'young' couple with
plenty of life experience but not too old to
learn new skills. Before we went to Australia
for weeks last year we searched for a
housesitter/dogsitter without success-We know
what we would require and therefore know what we
should offer. A pride in the home is essential,
finding jobs that need done and keeping
everthing shipshape. We are obviously caring
people where animals are concerned and would
happily excercise pets.
