We are looking for a responsible, dependable
house/catsitter to stay with our cats while we
will be gone from our home for about 3 weeks.
The
cats do not go outside, are pretty self-
sufficient, easy to please as long as there is
food and water and presentable litter boxes. It
is very important to us that the prospective
sitter has experience taking care of multiple
cats.
We live in a well established, safe neighborhood
on the NE part of Tucson, close to
Sabino Canyon, and other area attractions.
Shopping, public library, city recreation area
are also within a couple of miles. Bus service
to our neighborhood has just been extended to
cover weekends and evenings, although a car is
highly recommended.
We have bi-monthly yard service. Although most
of the yard is on an automatic watering system,
this is not really an issue this time of year.
We overwinter several frost sensitive plants in
a small greenhouse. These plants will need some
attention during our absence.
We also enjoy the many birds including resident
hummingbirds that come to our backyard and
encourage them by providing food.
Our plans for the coming year include other
house/catsitting needs. We plan on a trip to
Germany around 10 Apr 2010 to celebrate my
mother's 90th birthday.
The other need is longer term. We have a
vacation home in the mountains of AZ where we
like to spend most of the summer, approx. May -
October. We do come back to Tucson
periodically. Past sitters have either stayed
at our home or visit friends/family while we are
in town. The other option would be to trade
locations during this time.......we come back to
Tucson, the sitter goes to Pinetop, 200 miles
away.
We cannot accommodate anyone with pets of their
own or dependent children. Sorry!
