We are an active married couple,non smokers previously teachers before our worldwide housesitting and very keen gardeners We are fit and healthy, reliable and adaptable. We have had a fantastic 5 years housesitting across the globe including a palatial city apartment,a cosy cottage a beautifully restored Italian villa set in olive groves and a cattle station!and all things in between.We have been privileged to love and care for many animals mostly cats and dogs but also horses,donkeys,goats,sheep,hens and fish. We have also met some lovely people with whom we hope to retain a long term connection. In fact all our housesitting has been fantastically positive. It is doubly rewarding to have the pleasure of caring for a pet and then hearing appreciative comments from the owners on their return -"this is the best the house has been in 5 years of sits", "you are absolute gems", "please will you come back next year" We have had a house sit with 3 dogs,5 cats and 1 chicken!We really appreciated them as characters and have just booked our return. In Australia we looked after Brahman cattle,and horses and had experience of using a generator for the off grid farm as well as off road 'ute' driving. We are so proud to be able to say that ALL of our home owners have asked us back. We want to experience living in different places housesitting gives us the opportunity to do this. Currently we live in our own period house in Leamington Spa.We are experienced at day -to-day house maintenance and take pride in its appearance and upkeep. We are lifelong gardeners and enjoy growing vegetables at our allotment. Geoff also has run a small summertime gardening business and would relish maintaining your garden.We have two housesits with the same owner where we go simply to garden.We have readied a swimming pool for the summer season and with Geoff's chemist/chemical engineering background we are mindful of the need for careful monitoring and treatment required for pool maintenance. We are animal lovers and over the years have loved a whole menagerie from dogs,cats etc through to budgerigars and stick insects.We would take excellent care of your house/pets as if they were our own. About us, we are very active and like to experience life to the full. We are physically very fit and love the outdoor life. We like mountain walking backpacking, canoeing and even bodyboarding and treking in the Himalayas. We join a gym when we can,practise yoga and pilates and run.We are very active members of our sailing club when at home. We have recently started to play the ukelele[badly] Since retiring we have spent 2 months in New Zealand and 3 months in Australia,a month in France.We are returning for a second month in Italy in March and have 2 sits in Spain later this year, We also have really enjoyed our sits in the UK. Between us we are reasonably competent in everyday French and Spanish.We are learning Italian. We are used to using our own initiative as well as following instructions exactly. We are good humoured and friendly, enjoying good relationships with our neighbours. You can have peace of mind that your property and pets will be in safe hands with us. We have good references and a Criminal Records check.
