INTRODUCTION: Though I value that I'm highly dependable and detail driven, I value most that I have common sense. No homeowner can anticipate everything in the list of duties they leave for a housesitter; it's common sense that knows how to deal with surprises.
EXCEPTIONAL CARE: I treat inanimate things as gently and respectfully as I do animate beings. I find and conquer pesky tasks homeowners often don't have time to do. In other words, I look for ways to improve a place even after I leave. I've also done mail-outs and simple tasks for homeowners in connection with their work.
ANIMAL CARE: My skills with animals come from being a zookeeper and ranchhand in my younger years and from being a lifetime pet owner myself. It's funny, but not uncommon, that people call me a "whisperer" in relation to animals of all kinds.
COMPENSATION: I do not charge, but I have been fortunate always to receive $20-$55/night from homeowners who see that my care is exceptional.
GET-ACQUAINTED: Outside a 40-mile radius, I trust other methods for getting to know each other, particularly , phone, and references.
