We are now retired and find that we have some spare time and we love to see more of Australia so casual housesitting suits us. We do prefer shorter periods as we live on our own property on the Sunshine Coast and enjoy our time in the garden and also have grandchildren who need us therefore cannot be away for long periods of time.
I am a Justice of the Peace (qual) and have a background in Aged Care, administration and real estate. I volunteer for my local library, JP's in the community and our local theatre group. My husband worked in the construction industry and his hobby has always been his garden. He volunteers for Riding for the Disabled doing general maintenance and often assists in the local community any way he can.
We have experience with a variety of animals including horses, cattle, goats, chickens and of course, dogs, cats and birds. Alan worked with horses as a young man and I was raised on a dairy farm, hand milking cows as well as all the other chores. We are also happy to do general garden care and lawn maintenance.
