We live on 5 acres in a rural community 14 miles SE of Monmouth,Oregon. Monmouth has a general population of approx 9,500. Monmouth is also the location of Western Oregon College. Salem, Oregon (Capital)is 30 miles and has a population of 150,000+. We are hours from Portland, Oregon and approx 130 miles from Mt. Hood. It is a 3 hour drive to Bend, Oregon; the heart of Central Oregon We are 60 miles from Newport, Oregon and the Pacific Ocean. Numerous golf courses are within a 1 hour drive.
We expect the housesitter(s) to perform general outdoor chores, ie, flower care, mowing with rider and push mowers provided. Prior experience with hot tub weekly maintainance. General house keeping duties required. We have no pets and would prefer no pets in the house. A list of service/repair businesses will be available. You must have your own renter insurance for your personal property inside the house. A surety bond will be required. Housesitter will be expected to pay for utilities and telephone above our normal useage. A house sitting agreement will be required; as well as references from previous housesitting assignments. If you have an RV, there is covered parking up to 36' on the property as well as an outdoor RV hookup to 50 amps if needed.
