We have a partially renovated 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom home in Karalee, Ipswich on about a third of an acre with great neighbours either side. There is a large garage used for storing our cars and stored belongings and we may be able to make room for one more car or probably make a space in the carport. We also back onto the river and our back deck is perfect for watching the sun go down.
We are going away and need someone from 30th July 2006 to 7th September 2006.
With water restrictions and basic gardens there is not much that needs to be done on the outside except mowing the lawns which we will get someone in to do. On the inside, just general care and cleaning while you're there.
We are near the local shopping centre that has takeaways, Woolworths, doctor, hardware, video store, petrol station, etc and about five minutes drive from Dinmore train station.
The two important things to us is that we feel confident and reassured of the house being in good hands we can trust and general maintenance is done (such as bringing in mail, ensuring house is secure, and water a couple of pot plants) but also that our kids are looked after. And by kids, I mean pets!
We have two German Shepherd crosses (one is a very active 6 mth old puppy) and an albino cat (and she is kept in a shaded enclosure to avoid sun cancer common with her colouring). They are all very very friendly and personable though the older dog is getting on in years and the puppy was a rescue case and both need to be treated a bit gently. They need to be fed once per day (the puppy in the morning too), have their areas kept clean (they are confined to the back yard), walked a couple of times per week and played with.
We do not want other people than the approved housesitters in the house and also no parties please. References are preferable too.
