Hello, Are you looking for a bit of a break over the Christmas and New Year holidays? Do you like countryside and cats and curling up by the fire?
I want to go see my grandchildren in Ontario and my cat and house and plants and woodstove are raising cries of "What about us?" So, I'm hoping someone out there can help out.
Pleasant old home, lovely light, excellent high speed internet, combination of electric and wood heat. Plenty of wood in the yard. Gas range and microwave in the kitchen.
Must be willing to tolerate some areas of chaos and a few idiosyncratic features. Must not be frightened of mice (dear cat is getting a bit deaf and doesn't always pursue intruders, though she's good if she hears them!)
No big projects to do here, just settle in and keep the fire going, yourself and the cat fed and the few plants watered just a bit. Go to the community hall for special events, go for walks, drop in and visit the neighbours. Its quiet here, but there's plenty of cd's and a keyboard to play if that's your style.
Prefer mature person who has experience heating with wood. Nearest town is about 16 kms away, larger town about 40 km away. There's some public transit but not on this road.
